outfit post: white button down, pink shell, black pencil skirt

Inspiration - INSPIRATION

Feeling extra preppy today so I decided to rotate in the sweater vest. At first I tried my blue checkered button down shirt (seen here and here) but because my vest is pink it looked a little like a crazy person got dressed in the dark. So I switched to plain ole basic white button down and really like the results. Simple, classic and warm. Perfect winter office outfit.

I love this look. I have a really hard time wearing button downs beneath sweaters/vests because of the wrinkling. Any tips??
I wore a button down under a sweater yesterday and felt like I was tugging all day.

I have a black shell, never would have thought to stick a collared shirt underneath, thanks!

Thanks!

Jill, I definitely have that problem with thin sweaters over button downs where you see every little wrinkle & button underneath. But luckily this shell is pretty thick so it's less of a problem. (I think not having overlapping sleeves also helps with the pulling.)
