Inspiration - Penny Pincher Fashion
This outfit is the reason I love having a blog that makes me intentionally look for different ways to wear the clothes I already own! I think the blog gives me the initiative I need to keep revisiting items of clothes that I would normally categorize a certain way in my head and then wear in only that way over and and over. For example, I had originally only thought of this blouse as a 'work blouse' - basically just something to layer under cardigans for the office. I didn't even think it could be a pretty top on its own with a skirt!
I have worn both the navy a-line skirt (here) and the green tie neck blouse (here) before on the blog but it never would have occurred to me that they could possibly be good put together.
I was reading super cute blogger post from Penny Pincher Fashion about four ways to wear a midi skirt when I recognized she had on the Old Navy top I already own. So I decided to try the outfit for myself. I am super excited with the result! I feel breezy, sophisticated and really pretty. I think this is a perfect weekend date night outfit!

Love your blog! I just read through a ton of your posts and your fall/winter posts since fall is just around the corner. I do have a question...do you think your awning skirt could go into fall? I think it is really beautiful and would consider purchasing one, but I don't want it to be a spring/summer only skirt.
Adding you to my blogroll! Love that you stress the importance of having good basics...I totally agree!
Thanks!
Here are some outfit ideas I was thinking about for transitioning my awning skirt to fall/winter -

I guess they're a little more fall then winter... but hope they help! :)
Very cute! I'm now reading your blog every day for the same reason. Great ideas!! I put together an outfit last week inspired by one of your pics and made up of items I already own. I received many compliments! Keep up the good work!
Love this outfit! It does seem really breezy and flowy, two of my very favorite things :)
Thanks so much! I wasn't sure I was going to like this outfit and I ended up loving it! Fun surprise. :)
